MAGALI LUYTEN

Appearing on the internationnal Rock / Metal scene in the fall of 2003, Magali Luyten is an internationnal vocalist, leadsinger in rock band “Virus IV” founded by composer and guitarist Samuel Arkan, with their recently recorded album “Dark Sun”.

In 2006, she joined Uli Kusch (ex-Helloween, ex-Masterplan, Ride the Sky) in Beautiful Sin, together with Jorn Viggo Loffstad and Steinar Krokmo (from progressive metal band Pagan's Mind) and Axel Mackenrott (Masterplan) and performed the vocals on “The Unexpected" – Afm Records Germany.

That same year, she’s chosen to be part of the new “Beautiful Voices vol.2” Compilation with Beautiful Sin’s opening track “Lost” (from “The Unexpected”) – Nuclear Blast Records Europe.

In 2007, she’s invited to sing on the solo album of german guitarist “Rooky” (Orphan Hate), album release in August this year.

Magali will star on the new Ayreon by Arjen Lucassen which is planned to be released beginning of 2008.

Pro Vocal Coach
Along with Samuel Arkan, she worked a lot as vocal coach for projects (Rock opera, studio, live...). She never stops looking for new xperiences that she shares with her students. Magali’s private voice studio is located in Belgium.

International Vocalist
Magali Luyten started piano at the age of 9. By her teenage years she began pursuing her love of music, joining the “The Attics” (new wave band) as keyboardist and doing some backing vocals. In 1998, Magali became lead vocalist for “Meridian” and performed as frontwoman through several bands including “Spirittales”, “Arkanges” and german band “Over Us Eden” where she worked with drummer and producer Uli Kusch. From that point she discovered back rock and metal music, while keeping her interest on varied music genres such as blues, pop, soul or jazz... (Influences are a.o. Russel Allen, Bono, David Coverdale, Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio, James Labrie, Jorn Lande, Annie Lennox, Peggy Lee, Freddie Mercurie, Skin, Mike Patton, Pink, Robert Plant, Seal,...).
